As a traveling construction superintendent, your duties and responsibilities include managing all aspects of a project, from planning and acquisition of materials and equipment to negotiating contract terms to creating a realistic schedule for construction and following the plan to completion. You also make sure that different groups involved in the project are working together effectively. Because construction projects take place in different states and cities, you need to be willing and able to frequently travel to oversee projects.

The Project Superintendent is the senior leader for all onsite construction activities. This individual has the knowledge and experience to lead complex projects safely from startup through close-out. Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all parties involved in the project. The Project Superintendent will partner with the Project Manager to ensure a successful project. 

The Superintendent is expected to focus on their project while onsite and be dedicated to performance, production and quality work. While offsite they are to recharge for the next day and occasionally assist in communication with their Project Manager. The superintendent is expected to problem solve, schedule, communicate and manage their project during their scheduled hours of work. 

Superintendent work schedules change by project requirements. Superintendents are expected to conform to the work type and responsibilities asked of them. 

Key Responsibilities
• Direct and manage subcontractors to achieve optimum performance
• Communicate, report and promptly resolve any issues with the Project Manager
• Coordinate weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Assist in development and management of a detailed CPM Schedule
• Assist in development of Detailed Scope of Work as project requires.
• Develop a project site logistics plan
• Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents
• Review and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase orders
• Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement
• Provide leadership in quality process
• Provide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programs (aka Safety Meetings) and respond with your best meme
• Document daily construction activities in the form of Raken Daily Reports and attach appropriate photos per the requirements of the Project Manager
• Issue and maintain short term schedules
• Assist Project Manager in shop drawing and submittal process
• Verify that As-Built drawings are kept current and provide redlines as necessary
Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs. 

Qualifications
• 7-10 years of applicable field leadership experience
Experience with relevant large scale retail, commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projects
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and Dynamic Trades employees
Trade performance experience required
Working knowledge and understanding of all trades, construction principles and practices
• Extensive experience directing and coordinating trades
• Previous experience working with Project Management teams to ensure a successful project completion
Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills
Must have basic and working knowledge of email, spreadsheets and scheduling tools

Project Engineers (PE’s) are expected to assist in estimating and coordinating 4 to 10  construction projects and review their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner.  PE’s are responsible for organization, document prep and scheduling. PE’s report  directly to the PM’s on their respective jobs.  

The PE will be on an annual salary or hourly depending on the job offer. There are no  set hours and it is a chief priority to be an ardent supporter of the teams he or she is  working with. They must be generous with their time, knowledge and skills. Accessible  communication with Project Managers, Project Accountants, Superintendents, Admin  Staff, Subcontractors and Clients is a requirement.  

Responsibilities 

  • PE’s are responsible for disbursing plans via bidding software, collecting and  following up with sub bids, organizing sub bids in job folders, writing  schedules, collecting submittal packages, writing change order quotes and  uploading data to customer project management software or emailing. 
  • Monitor all design and construction phase documents for conformance with  the budget and schedule – send discrepancies to the PM.  
  • Coordinate the bidding process; review subcontractor bids for basic requirements.  
  • Confer with the PM and others to provide input for the pre-bid and master  construction schedule. Prepare the detailed construction phase schedule.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and professional working relationships  with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and  suppliers. 
  • Implement assigned duties with an exceptional level of accuracy, timeliness  and cost effectiveness. 
  • Monitor all project estimates are prepared in accordance with the  requirements of the project. Become familiar with each estimate to fully  support its integrity. 
  • Prepare subcontractor change orders and in-house change order requests  while reviewing the job for crossover elements. 
  • Prepare subcontractor pre-award checklist.
  • Monitor all outstanding owner change orders and change order requests.
  • Prepare all project closeout documents including warranties and specs.
  • Coordinate with the Project accountant for financial closeout material.
  • Support, company culture between internal and external company  relationships. 

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Knowledge of architecture, engineering and construction management.
  • Must have technical knowledge, scheduling and organizational skills.
  • Organization of bid process is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and facilitation skills; including the ability to explain  complex processes to clients and staff.
  • Computer literacy is a requirement and PE’s must be proficient with Email,  Excel, Word and Editing PDF’s.

Project Accountants (PA’s) are expected to assist managing the financial obligations of 4 to 10 construction projects at a time and oversee their progress in a timely and cost- effective manner. PA’s are responsible for organization, sub-contract implementation and costing of construction projects. PA’s report directly to the PM’s on their respective jobs.

The PA will be on an annual salary or hourly depending on the job offer. There are no set hours and it is a chief priority to be an ardent supporter of the teams he or she is working with. They must be generous with their time, knowledge and skills. Accessible communication with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, Admin Staff, Subcontractors and Clients is a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Project Accountants are responsible for inputting accepted projects into accounting software, preparing contracts for review, preparing subcontracts for review, issuing MSA’s and PO’s, administrating Dropbox Sign, reviewing insurance requirements, uploading accepted change orders, preparing closeout docs, invoicing and costing.
  • Review all design and construction phase documents for conformance with the budget and prime contract.
  • Review subcontractor bids for conformance, licensing qualifications and financial factors.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and professional working relationships with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and
  • Implement assigned duties with an exceptional level of accuracy, timeliness and cost effectiveness.
  • Become familiar with each estimate to fully support its
  • Monitor the financial responsibility and past performance of subcontractors prior to award of any subcontract.
  • Provide input for subcontractor pre-award
  • Review the subcontract pre-billing worksheet and monthly progress payment request; and monitor payment receipts and disbursements.
